DESCRIPTION
2021-P Australia Kangaroo - 250 Coins (10 Tubes of 25 Coins)
The Australian Kangaroo is the first Australian commemorative coin struck in 99.99% fine silver and 2021 marked the first time the kangaroo has appeared on one of the mint's bullion coins, having previously only appeared on gold bullion pieces. The Silver Kangaroo has become a popular choice for investors and collectors alike.
Coin Design
The reverse design features an image of a hopping kangaroo at its center, with textured rays of sunlight emanating outward in all directions. Inscriptions atop the artwork include AUSTRALIAN KANGAROO and below it are 2021, 1 OZ, . The Perth Mint's mint mark, "P", is to one side of the design. The obverse design has Jody Clark's effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and inscriptions that include the face value of the coin, ELIZABETH II, 1952 - 2021 and AUSTRALIA.
Authentication Feature
The coin's reverse includes a security feature in the form of a micro-laser engraved letter within the design. It is only detectable under a magnifying glass.
